- 1.Select a tree in a garden, greenbelt, or orchard and locate a spot 0.5 to 1 meter (1.6 to 3.3 feet) above the ground
- 2.Pull the tape taut and wrap it 1 to 2 times around the trunk with the non-adhesive side against the bark, ensuring the sticky side faces completely outward
- 3.Secure the top and bottom edges of the tape (using the adhesive-free margins) with string or wire to keep it firmly in place
- 4.Replace the tape promptly when the sticky surface becomes covered with insects, dust, or debris that reduces its tackiness
