Special Feature:
- Stainless steel material. Rustproof and corrosion resistant. Suitable for long term use in damp soil conditions
- High sensitivity trigger. Square trigger plate design responds quickly to mole movement in tunnels, ensuring reliable capture
- Scissor action clamping structure. Two scissor arms close instantly upon triggering, firmly holding the mole with minimal chance of escape
- Adjustable sensitivity. Lock nuts are located at the joint between the base plate and scissor arms. Sensitivity can be fine tuned by adjusting the tightness of the nuts to suit different soil conditions
- Working principle. When a mole moves forward through the tunnel, its body pushes against the square trigger plate. Once the plate is pushed aside, the scissor arms are released. The spring energy is instantly released, closing the scissor arms quickly and clamping the mole between them, preventing escape
- Suitable for yards, gardens, farms, lawns, and other outdoor areas. It can be used in all soil types and flexibly placed in active mole tunnel locations
How to Use:
- Locate an active tunnel. Look for recent mole feeding tunnels on the lawn (surface ridges or fresh mounds). Press down a small section of the tunnel with your foot
- Place the trap. Position the trap over the depressed tunnel section with the scissor arms on both sides of the tunnel. Press the trap firmly into the ground until the square base plate rests flat on the surface outside the tunnel
- Set the trap. Step down firmly on the top of the trap to open the scissor arms underground and place the square trigger plate flat against the depression of the tunnel. Once fully set, the trap will lock parallel to the ground. Rock the trap back and forth with your foot to ensure the scissor arms can close freely
- Mark and check. Insert a warning flag(such as ATPL7315, ATM3067) at the placement site to alert lawnmower operators or gardeners
- Remove the catch. If successful, pull the trap firmly from the ground by the top. With the scissor arms and trapped mole facing away, press against a firm surface (such as a belt buckle) to open the arms and remove the mole. Dispose of it properly
- Move and reset. Before moving the trap, make sure it is not in the set position. If it is set, insert a screwdriver or stick into the slot where the control arms connect. Apply pressure upward or downward to release the trigger, then safely move or reset the trap
