Special Features:
1.Working principle. Designed based on the egg-laying habits of female mosquitoes. Utilizing their preference for damp, shaded, and windless environments, the trap employs attractants to precisely draw female mosquitoes close. Create an egg-laying environment using organic matter (such as odors produced by the fermentation of organic materials like rotting leaves, grass, and water, which release carbon dioxide, organic acids, etc.). Once mosquitoes enter the trap, they are securely captured by the built-in glue board, effectively reducing the mosquito population
2. Specialized glue board and attractant provided. Users may flexibly prepare their own water, fresh grass, fallen leaves, and other common organic materials, eliminating the need to purchase special mosquito-attracting supplies and reducing usage costs
3. Easy to Use. Fill the bucket with fresh grass, the attractant, and water, keeping the water level 1–2 inches below the drainage holes (to avoid overflow and dilution of the fermenting mixture). Roll the glue board into a cylinder and press its edges firmly against the inner wall of the trap bucket to minimize escape gaps. Place the sieve tray flat at the bottom of the trap with the pull tab facing outward for easy removal later
4. Hanging and Placement. Hang or position the trap at a height of 0.8–1.2 meters (close to typical mosquito flight height). If placed on the ground, elevate it by 20 cm (to prevent soaking from ground water accumulation). Keep the trap 3–5 meters away from human activity areas (e.g., patios, seating areas) and avoid outdoor light sources (as light can interfere with mosquitoes’ odor detection)
5. Optimal Placement for Different Mosquitoes. To trap Culex mosquitoes, place near still water environments (e.g., flowerpot saucers, small pond edges). To trap Aedes mosquitoes, position close to small water-holding containers (e.g., discarded tires, vases)
6. Regular Maintenance. Periodically check and replace the glue board, fermenting materials, and water as needed
